115gr TMJ vs FMJ load data
So I loaded a bunch of 115gr TMJ (pulled, but likely made by Speer) using load data for 115gr FMJ (Hornady) which called for a 1.105″ seating depth.
I later saw [the Speer data, which lists a 1.135″ seating depth](https://reloadingdata.speer.com/downloads/speer/reloading-pdfs/handgun/9mm_Luger__115_rev1.pdf)
I’m going to pull and re-seat these rounds, but why is there such a big difference in the COAL?
As far as I can tell both the 115 TMJ and Hornady FMJ have about the same projectile length (.550 when I measured, [.548 for the Hornady](https://czfirearms.us/index.php?topic=62657.0)), so given they’re the same weight and same length shouldn’t the bearing surface be similar?
