• 1st Gun – HK PV9 vs Glock 19.4 vs Glock 19X

  As the title reads, I’m looking to purchase my first gun. Intention is not at all to conceal carry on my person but more for home defense and mostly range shooting. I might carry in my car down the road once I get my CPL.
  I’m narrowed down to the HK VP9, Glock 19.4, and Glock 19X. I’ve held all three and they all feel nice in my hands. I have not yet shot any of them (I’m sure that’s going to be majority of the suggestions). Do I need night sights? I’ll probably mount a light at some point.
  Best fit in my hands in order:
  1. VP9 2. 19.4 3. 19X
  Price is somewhat being taken into consideration but won’t make or break my decision. I also really like the look of the tan on both the PV9 and 19X.
  HK VP9: $660 for the black/tan version online (gunbuyer.com) *with night sights*
  HK VP9: $600 for black/tan online (gunbuyer.com) *without night sights*
  HK VP9: $650 at my local shop (black) *no night sights*
  Glock 19.4 $520 at my local shop
  Glock 19X: $630 at my local shop
  From what I’ve read (I’ve done quite a bit of research), I can’t really go wrong with any of the three. I’m just looking for some final advice before I go pull the trigger and make a purchase.
