    Hey brain trust,
Anyone able to tell me what issues I might find reloading benchmark 2 for 6.5cm iv got a couple kilos and would prefer to reload with the powder iv got. 9th edition doesnt list bm2 as a powder so im just wondering if anyone has some experience. For my overseas friends I believe benchmark 2 is the equivalent of benchmark or imr 3031.
    Cheers.

ADI Benchmark 2 is re-sold by Hodgdon as Benchmark. It is the exact same powder.

You don’t see data for it in 6.5 Creedmoor, because it is not an optimal powder for that cartridge. It’s well suited to 223 and to 308 (with lighter bullets), but 6.5 Creedmoor calls for slower burning powders. AR2208 (Hodgdon Varget) goes very well up to about 100gn but for anything heavier, you want AR2209 (H4350) or even AR2213SC (H4831SC) for 143/147gn+ projeciles.

It will be possible to go off-script and work up a load using it, but you will hit high pressures before you get decent speeds.
