GuestMarch 18, 2023 at 9:48 amJust started carrying mine in a kydex holster. I notice a few scuffs that don’t come out.
My OCD is triggered. Oh well.

GuestMarch 18, 2023 at 9:48 amThe old finish was so much better, but it apparently harmed the environment.

GuestMarch 18, 2023 at 9:48 amYES, I remember someone talking about the USA Glock plant slide finishes not being as durable as the Austrian ones or something like that.

GuestMarch 18, 2023 at 9:48 amMines pretty scuffed in some places but it’s been dropped a few times and carried near constantly.
It happens. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

GuestMarch 18, 2023 at 9:48 amMy Austrian G43 has as many scuffs after 6 months as my 2006 ish vintage gen 3 G19 does.
The old finish was more durable. -

GuestMarch 18, 2023 at 9:48 amShot 2 mags of my carry ammo through this last weekend and somehow must have gotten a little sand or something in the holster. After taking it in and out of the holster about 5 times I had really bad scratches on the side of the slide. I rinsed the holster out with water when I got home, let it dry and it seems to be better, at least from what I can tell. A little disappointed that it scratched this easily though.
