Looking to buy a bergara .308 (probably one of the hunter models and dropping it in a KRG). Wondering how important barrel length is for a entryish level setup. Most of the B14s I like and can find have a 18” barrel. Without knowing a lot this seems limiting range wise. What range would I start to notice a difference at? Id probably only be shooting factory ammo for now if that matters

Sorry for the delay on approving this.
If you’re starting out, I’d skip the hunting models and get something with a heavier barrel. 308 can always use more velocity for better ballistics, especially as a new shooter, so I’d say 24-26″ would be ideal unless you have a serious need for portability.
