The battery cap on my Sig Sauer Bravo3 is locked tight. I’m a big guy with plenty of strength. I’ve seen a YouTube video on how to open it. I know with certainty which direction is Counter-Clockwise. Does anyone have any thoughts on how to open it when it’s hard-stuck?

Sad news: I’ve already scuffed it trying to open it.

Update: Sig Sauer told me to use vice grips and scratch the cap. They said they would send me a new cap. That didn’t work, so I took it to a local gunsmith and he said the cap is dented in more than it should be. After a 2nd call with Sig Sauer, I ended up returning it.

Could always use a pair of vise grips or pliers with a rag wrapped around the cap (doubled up even), and use minimal squeezing force. There’s a slight risk of it scuffing through the rag, but if it’s already scuffed…

Set it in the sun or try heating with a hair dryer maybe?

KROIL oil and tap the cap to help it wick in
