I’m in the market for an upper and from this sub and what I see on YT, BCM seems like a solid overall choice. But recently on YT I’ve seen at least 3 reviews where people have said they’ve had bad accuracy out of their barrels after a few thousand rounds, with 2/3 of them having bad CS from BCM (Reno May, Gunthots, and EngineerShooter, with the last 2 having bad CS). Theres also the BCM statement of sticking to only 12-15 rounds per minute on their barrel too which is concerning. Basically my question is, do their barrels hold up? Have you guys put a good amount of rounds on a decent firing schedule through their barrels, and if so are they still running fine? Thanks for the help.

My 11.5 is pretty damn accurate.

And the 12-15 rounds a minute is a massive misunderstanding that people need to stop spreading when they dont know what they are talking about, including the customer service rep that didn’t understand it. It means 12-15 rounds of non stop continuous fire indefinitely

My 16” middy shoots bulk brasses worse than my LaRue barrel and won’t run most steels at all.

The 12-15 rounds/min claim is wildly out of context. 15 rounds per minute is a US military specification for the maximum rate of fire that could be maintained indefinitely. Barrels, including theirs, can easily handle much higher rates of fire, just not ad infinitum.

My experience and the experience of many others I know are that BCM barrels will hold up and maintain accuracy over their lifetimes. I’m not familiar with the issues those guntubers had, but BCM does have some of the best QC procedures in the industry (they do regular destructive testing and material analysis on their barrels to make sure they’re holding spec.

I believe this was more of a problem with their 11.5” mid lengths.

What bothers me is BCM blamed the customer, which as a customer makes me want to not support them at all. The problem is on their end.

There was a user on here as well whos 13.7” was shot out after 2k rounds and BCM told him fuck off basically
