    Hi guys,

after some range time I came to conclusion that CZ shadow is the way to go. I was able to test S2 for quite some time and at least for me it’s more pleasant to shoot comparing with striker fire(striker fired CZs, Glocks etc.). Also I wouldlike to support local gun local company.

My question here is, is it really that of improvement going from S1 to S2? Here it is around 200€ difference(I could buy holster, mag holsters etc. for the difference)? Also I prefer S1 by looks. It would be great if you could point out the difference(other than weight and barrel length),

    Thanks

I’d skip the shadow 1. It’s a LOT cheaper to buy a standard sp-01 and do the CGW trigger and action job. And you’ll end up with a gun that’s slicker than a shadow.

The Shadow 2 has ergonomic benefits. That’s really the only reason I’d buy one. A sp-01 with a full CGW trigger and action job will shoot every bit as well. All you really get with a shadow 2 is better ergonomics and a much higher price.

I have both (I had them both cut for optics by CZC). They are both wonderful and you can’t go wrong with either one. I actually prefer the out of the box ergos on the S1 BUT the S2 is the only pistol I’ve ever shot that doesn’t have muzzle flip. The last local Steel Challenge I shot, there were several people in my squad commented on it as well. If I had to do it over again I would just have the S1 but since I already have it and the S2 is a better competition pistol, that is the one I use. I use my S1 as a backup. This is my first year shooting competition so I am by no means an expert, this was just my experience. Highly recommend Stuart Wong at CZ Custom is you want any work done to it.
