Decisions, decisions…
About to pull the trigger on a new semi-auto for this season. I’ve been hunting with my trusty 870 for years, but it’s time to step up. Here’s my short list: Winchester SX4, Franchi Affinity 3, Stoeger 3000 and Beretta A300 Ultima.
Based on reviews here and other places, this is what I’ve read.
Winchester SX4: get the cerakote because the non-cerakote will be rust. Otherwise, no issues.
Franchi Affinity 3: I haven’t read anything bad.
Stoeger 3000: might as well get the Franchi
Beretta A300: customer service seems to be a problem right now, but that could always change.Unfortunately the only gun I’ve been able to handle so far is the Franchi. It’s light! I loved the way it felt and I could get it in walnut hardware which I prefer but isn’t a dealbreaker. I’m going this weekend to see if I can handle the SX4 and A300.
Any feedback on this short list?
