I have replaced the sights, furniture, added a carry handle and changed to a horizontal breakdown lever. It took some heart break and annoyance but this thing finally roars loud and reliably.

GuestMay 19, 2021 at 5:11 amThe fal is next on my list for rifles, went for a ptr91 fr first, has been a great purchase decision so far. Super excited to get enough money saved up to get one, been looking at the dsarms Belgian heavy barrel configuration.
Not gonna like though, your fal looks great! I bet it shoots like a dream!

GuestMay 19, 2021 at 5:11 amCould you give us a brief overview of some of the issues the rifle had when you first got it? I’ve been considering getting into the FAL game for awhile now and I’d really like to know what to look out for when first getting into it.
I went with a PTR-91 G3 clone as my first ‘scratching the cool cold war era battle rifle itch’ and while it didn’t run perfectly out of the box, the few issues it had were relatively easy to fix and it now runs like it should.
