Sure, raise the limit today and tomorrow we’ll start reducing spending. We promise.

It’s almost impossible to reduce the deficit. Either you raise taxes or you cut spending; both of those will make you unpopular.

Most? Only two-thirds of adults are concerned about the impact on the national economy if the debt limit is not increased. The rest of us aren’t okay with it being raised and are following the debate. That’s why old Joe’s snapping at the Press. He knows we need to cut spending!
