First pike on the fly!

No monster, but it’ll do. Only my second fish on the fly rod. Caught on a white/chartreuse bulkhead tied on an Ahrex PR378 4/0, using Airflo streamer max short #8

Certainly different than gear fishing. Weird not being able to muscle the fish in, and definitely hard remembering to strip set into them.

Where are you? I do not need to know exactly, just the general vicinty (like NE US). That really does not look like the kind of water/landscape that pike usually live in.

EDIT: I think it might be New Mexico where they are stocked.
