Your CQB setup is longer than your recce setup? Ok

I would combine them into a better CQB and Recce combo.

I’d use your recce for CQB. Longer rail means further grip, means faster target transitions and weapon manipulations. You can “steer” the gun faster and smoother the further towards the end of the barrel your grip is.

Judging by how your foregrip is set up on your CQB rifle, it looks like you use a true vertical handhold and wrap your thumb to activate the push on the light. I run C-clamp and have my light 45* offset from top of rail. My foregrip essentially just gives me more positive pull towards my body and lets me be consistent in where I grab. I do recommend trying it that way even if you decide you don’t like it, it’s a little trick in your toolbox.

Is that packing peanuts stuck in the stock?

I had some free time so I swapped around the uppers, lowers and stocks, and got these combos. I’m super happy with them. Here’s what I have:

The CQB is a Colt 6920 upper with a BCM quad rail, on a PSA lower. I really wish to chop and pin the barrel to 14.5” someday, but it’s probably not worth the cost, even if it would look better. I plan to swap the pistol grip for a K2.

The Recce is a 13” rail with a 14.0” Hanson barrel pinned with a dead air brake . One day I’ll have a Sandman-S. I plan to swap the stock for a BCM SOPMOD for a better cheek weld.

The Competition is my wife’s PSA 16” upper on an Aero M4E1 lower that gives off serious Far Cry AR-CL vibes. The stainless barrel and brake combo turn more heads at the range than the other guns.

The top 2 guns have Larue MBT-2S triggers installed, so I just need one more to complete the Competition rifle’s new lower. The bottom 2 rifles need offset iron sights, but that’s a low priority right now. And yes, the top and bottom are wearing Foliage Green, the best color that never should’ve been discontinued.

    Any suggestions are welcome.
