Glock 48 MOS here. going to mount a Holosun 507k. Looking for input on whether I should use the CHPWS adapter plate or have the posts milled for a direct mount.

Adapter plate pros: would low-witness with factory height glock sights; sight height over rear deck would be .055″ (55/1000″) which I’m all for as they’re literally as non-obstructive as possible but there if needed. Also would keep the MOS cut in “factory” condition but I plan to have slide work done by Jagerwerks anyway so voiding the warranty is inevitable.

pros of having posts milled down: would look more aesthetic, be more snug to the slide and closer to bore, and not require an adapter plate. I believe if I went this route and theoretically decided to use another dot with the same footprint (unlikely), it would still be mountable. Planning on sending to Jagerwerks anyway so could kill two birds with one stone by having them mill for a K series. Lastly, without the additional height of the adapter plate (.040″), the rear sight would only protrude ~.095″ into the dot window which is still damn low, and is still considered LowWitness by CHPWS standards.

If you’re having it worked on by Jagerwerks anyway I’d go milling.

Get rid of the plate and let us mill it! 🙂
