Just picked up this Marlin 1895 GBL in 45-70, as well as a few new sharp tools for general camp duty, gutting and skinning. Looking forward to trying this out on roe deer this upcoming season, and maybe moose if I am lucky!

Beauty. I run a cocobolo Buck 119 when I’m hunting with mine, but dont have a sexy axe to match.

That wood grain on the marlin is absolutely beautiful.

Only thing that would make this better is a wood and blued Colt Python in a leather holster and cartridge belt.

Not much you can’t do with those 3 tools right there.

Looks nice, does the rail obscure the sights at all?

I have a Winchester 1886 .38-56 That I want to take out this year. A friend cut 200 rounds from .45-90 brass and it shoots great. 250 grain lead slug that you can outrun but it should get the job done.
