Okay so I have an A2 grip (ew I know) but, was wondering if any if you have any experience with the straight grips? I like the angle if the A2 but the straight grips also don’t sound too bad. Any input would be appreciated.

There’s nothing wrong with an A2 grip, however I personally prefer to use the BCM Mod 3, or the magpul k2

I’ve run A2, Magpul K2, Bcm Mod 3, and have finally settled on the B5 systems grip.

I have a Magpul k2. After spending roughly 5 hours shooting, my wrist thanks me for having the more vertical grip.

If you have a gun store nearby and want to feel a different grip go to the store and check out their selection. You’ll more than likely find a rifle with a more vertical grip.

Or you could always get on GAFs and buy one for $15-$20 shipped. With gas prices the way they are that might be the cheaper option.

I really like my Griffin Armament A3 grip. It’s kinda like an A1/A2 but with a more vertical angle.

Once I experienced the B5 type 23 grip I was amazed and changed all my others over to B5.

Ergo’s have been the most comfortable for me. Grips are just one of those things you kinda got try out and settle on one for yourself.

Closer to vertical angle is better for ergonomics

Nothing wrong with a good ole a2. The hump bothers me but that’s easily fixed.

If the angle is good to go for you why bother changing it?

I’m partial to the Magpul MOE but it’s probably just what I’m used to. A steeper angle like the K2 is real nice on a pistol, or if you shoot with the stock shorter( nose closer to the charging handle).

I own about 35 different grips so here are my favorites in a few different categories:

    Short grip with agressive angle:

    [Reptilia](https://reptiliacorp.com/product/cqg-grip-for-ar-15-sr-25/)

    [Trinity 17](https://trinityforce.com/product/17-ar-grip/)

    Intermediate angle:

[BCM Mod 1/3](https://bravocompanyusa.com/bcmgunfighter-grip-mod-1-black/) (3 is a bit thicker around the top)

[B5 P23](https://b5systems.com/type-23-p-grip/) (my absolute favorite across the board)

    [Magpul MOE](https://magpul.com/firearm-accessories/grips/moegrip-ar15-m4.html?mp_global_color=118)

    [HK V7](https://hkpartspro.com/hk-416a5-battle-grip-wstorage-compartment-black-v7)

    A2 angle:

[Geissele A22](https://geissele.com/geissele-a22-grip-odg.html) (only good A2 style I’ve ever tried)

I prefer beavertails and round grips, but if you like grips more square like a stock Glock:

    Short and aggressive angle:

    [MKM ULCG](https://www.mkmachining.com/product/ultralight-compact-grip-ulcg-2/#grip-texture)

    Intermediate angle:

    [Magpul K2](https://magpul.com/firearm-accessories/grips/moe-k2-grip-ar15-m4.html?mp_global_color=118)

I haven’t tried a vertical grip I liked enough to run, but you might look at the [MKM VCG](https://www.mkmachining.com/product/vertical-crossover-grip/#grip-model). I have the [VCG-L](https://www.mkmachining.com/product/beavertail-vertical-crossover-grip-vcg-l/#color) but it’s too dummy thicc to be comfortable in my hand.

Tango down bg18 is my favorite grip so far. This is the straight one but they have more a2 angled ones

If you like the A2, just stick with the A2. I can’t tell you how much money I’ve spent on grips just to try them out and eventually come back full circle to the A2.

Grips and stocks are both very personal — the only way you’re going to know what you do and don’t like is to try them out and shoot the piss out of them.

I’ve come back full circle to both the A2 *and* the CTR on everything.
