Handling a Tandem Peddle Kayak Solo

I am looking into getting a tandem kayak model like the Hobie Tandem Mirage Island. Are tandem peddle kayaks in the 16 – 18′ range able to be handled Solo, or should you really have two people?

Slightly off-topic, but are there any other makes other than Hobie that come with Sail Kits / Outriggers?

I solo my 14.5ft tandem all the time. Looks like the one you’re looking at is a little bigger. As long as you can get yourself in the center then I would imagine it would be OK
