GuestJune 15, 2021 at 6:16 amAlways a good wipe down before putting away, total breakdown after hunting season, and during league and tournament season midway through the season I like to scrub em up. Never had a problem

GuestJune 15, 2021 at 6:16 amIt depends on the action type how thoroughly I clean them but generally, autoloaders get a full teardown between every range day and my pumps get a few passes with a bore snake and some oil after being shot. You want to protect your investment so don’t put your guns away dry and dirty.

GuestJune 15, 2021 at 6:16 amWith shotguns, i wipe them down every time i handle them to prevent surface rust. But as far as tearing them down and dojng a deep, thorough cleaning, i do that after every season or after theyve been rained on in the field. With my nicer rifles after every use. And my shitbox ar has never heard of “cleaning”

GuestJune 15, 2021 at 6:16 amAnytime. For me the smell and just wiping them done is like soothing therapy.
