Husband is turning 40, he’s an avid hunter (bow and rifle) and outdoorsman, I want to find a black bear hunt in Idaho for his birthday. Does anyone have an outfitter they recommend? I’ve tried directly reaching out to a few via email inquiries, but have not heard back. Thanks!

Wife and I have hunted with Boulder Creek Outfitters, we both got bears. They have a pretty good chunk of Hell’s Canyon to hunt in.

Try Oregon too. Pretty much the same population of bears, but a lot cheaper. Find an outfitter on the Rouge River.

Why not splurge and hook him up with a Jim Shockey black bear hunt. If I ever decided to hunt bear, or Moose for that matter, I’d love to do that with Jim.
