I didn’t catch a single thing today, but it was too beautiful not to go out– I’m not even mad. I just set a 95pt route around the lake and let my trolling motor take me for a boat ride. (I’m aware the rod is major overkill– I wanted it as an outrigger for trolling)

I always shore fish and when I don’t catch anything I wish I had a boat…!

Why do you say that rod is over kill? Doesn’t look too big to me. Of course I also routinely use medium heavy saltwater gear for catfish.
