  • I don’t know where my gun went and I don’t know what to do

I ordered a Hellcat from Blackhawk Armory and everything went great. I was able to get the OSP model at a great price.

I had my gun shipped to a local vendor near me. I was not aware the place had closed down as their website and maps had not been updated.

Thankfully, as I was able to reach them by phone, I was informed the gun will be forwarded to their new location in a different city not far from me.

I waited a couple of days and was informed by text message the gun was delivered to the new forwarded address. I reached out once again and the man tells me they did in fact receive the gun and it’s in a safe place. He informs me he does not know the address off the to of his head but will be sending it to me through text message.

That conversation with him was four days ago. I have tried to contact this gentleman every day since then and do not like the fact that I am being ghosted. I have left a couple voicemails as well for him to get back in contact with me.

Is there any way to find out exactly where my item was forwarded?

TL;DR: Buy Gun. Store closes and forwarded to new address. Owners will not tell me where new address is. What do?

This is why you notify your FFL of expected shipments before having it shipped. The shipping agency should be able to provide you an address where it was forwarded to. I’d show up in person and be very nice (seriously, id record the audio of this conversation just in case). If he refuses to give you your handgun contact the police.

Call the post office, they should have the forwarding address.

Can you confirm the address it was sent to with the person/company you bought it from?

This is simple: call the police.

Can you get the tracking number from Blackhawk? Use that and get with UPS or FedEx and see where it was forwarded to.

Call the ATF, period. Stop making excuses. They have the addresses of FFL holders, and if an FFL forwarded a firearm to a non-FFL address, they will get involved.

    Define “store”.

I refuse to believe there is a retail gun shop that is “hidden” on the internet. What business owner doesn’t list themselves on google?

You have the same taste in gun dealers as Fredo Corleone has in women.

Are there any online gun forums in your state? For example, in Virginia, we have vaguntrader.

If it is an active forum – the dealer will likely be aware of it, or at least someone on the forum will be aware of the dealer.

Go to the forum and post and ask where the new office is. BE NICE! Don’t bash the dealer or say you have a problem; give them a chance to respond. And, someone may post with info about the location.
