Well I could usually hear them while they were killing the enemy so I’m gonna assume that guy could hear it too. We used to do 4 or 5 click infils in chinooks so they couldn’t hear them.

They hear it most of the time. Actually the Taliban dosent run away becuase they hope that they can get close enough to US forces that CAS wont engage them. They know the Americans wont drop ordinance on them if they risk hitting their own troops.

They also know the nearest airbase and roughly how long it takes for CAS to arrive. So taliban only engages US troops for 15 minutes or so and then run away. Its only a few times when they dont hear it.

depends what the apache is using

Boeing AGM-114D Longbow Hellfire air-to-surface missile, which has a millimetre wave seeker that allows the missile to perform in full fire and forget mode. Its range is 8km to 12km.

if you are talking about the
    M230 Chain Gun is a 30 mm (30×113 mm), single-barrel chain-driven autocannon,

    Effective firing range 1,500 m (1,640 yd)

    Maximum firing range 4,000 m (4,370 yd)

from 150 feet away, the newest attack
choppers can be 75 db OR LESS in absolute
    average loudness.

    Apaches has whisper mode .
it could not be heard until it was less than 200 meters away, and that was since 1982.

Depends on what game you’re playing.
