I live in CA. Friend lives in AZ. I wanna bring my guns I own and register in Cali to and from AZ. I just need to know how to legally transport them To and back to cali.

What I mean is can I take my car and bring my guns back to cali? Or do I have to send my guns to a FFL just to pick them up in cali. Just confused and please don’t give me shit, California gun laws confuse me and I keep hearing mixed answers so I just wanna clarify from somewhere else before I go digging at a lawyer or something.

Yes you can throw them in your trunk and just drive to AZ and back.
AZ doesn’t register firearms.

Ship them to yourself or transport locked and ammo separated from guns.

Lock them in a gun case. The only law is regarding Ammo. You are supposed to use all Ammo purchased outside of CA before returning. You can’t bring it back, legally.

Why would the cop know you had guns in your trunk on a traffic stop? Just don’t tell anyone. Or speed.
It’s also perfectly legal to have your guns in your trunk. In AZ you can just have them in your lap, and back seat.
