Is it possible to create 6.5×54 MS brass from 6.5×55?

Looking to get a gun in 6.5x54MS, and have a shitton of primed 6.5×55 brass. Could it be possible just to resize a 6.5×55 case in a 6.5×54 die? Or would there be things different that wouldn’t allow for such conversion?

Cartridge conversion book says .220 swift. Cut off rim and deepen extractor groove. Size in 6.5 die trim to length and chamfer.

Not really practical. The 6.5 x 54 uses a smaller case head than the standard 6.5/7/7.9mm Mauser.
