  • Is my Vision 110 Jr defective?

Posted by mushiiisadork on November 24, 2022 at 11:59 am

Finally gave in to the hype and picked up a vision 110 Jr.

It floats hard and in a really awkward tail up posture.

Sure, I can upsize the hooks to tune it some, but it is going to take a lot to get it to suspend or slow sink.

What are your experiences with the 110 Jr? Did I just get a defective one?

Edit: Thanks for the feedback. I was more worried about how hard it floats than the orientation, but great feedback on that too.

I’ll try and upsize hooks to get it to suspend and if that doesn’t work I’ll get it switched out. Cheers.

Some jerkbaits tailup, and some suspend perfectly horizontal.

look at the underwater foortage here:

both of those show vision 110 tail up.

Never tried a Junior but I think most of my 110 have a nose down suspension. They always catch fish so I don’t worry about it.

I don’t have a jr, but my 110 suspends great. I’m sure someone who fishes a jr will chime in, but yeah, sounds off to me.

Should suspend tail up , I’ve had a few vision 110s have a slow rise which isn’t a problem until the water gets really cold then you want it to sink , been meaning to get some heavier hooks but I’m lazy so I just keep switching to a different one until I get one that doesn’t rise

BTW you can send it back to them and they will ship you a new one no questions asked

Nose down is the preferred position usually, I’m not sure why. The float is not though. I also had a 110jr float on me, I’m not sure what happened. I put a heavier front and middle hook and it’s ok.

They would have let me send it back but tbh I feel better with owner hooks on there anyway lol
