Issue with safety, explanation in comments

Got an ambi safety set on a short throw, not sure of the brand, that has started being able to be moved past the “fire position” with a little bit of pressure. Seems like the detent isn’t holding it in place or something?

Anyone have this experience or know what the issue is? I took it apart and reinstalled it, still persists.

Seems like it was milled for the detent channel incorrectly, got a picture of it?

For a semi auto selector, the detents should be cut deeply so it can’t be over-rotated. There should be a wall at the end of travel.

On a standard full auto selector, the detents aren’t cut that deep because the selector stops on the outside of the receiver stop rotation.

Started running into this issue with an Armaspec ambi safety and replaced the detent and now it’s solid again
