Issue with safety, explanation in comments
-
Got an ambi safety set on a short throw, not sure of the brand, that has started being able to be moved past the “fire position” with a little bit of pressure. Seems like the detent isn’t holding it in place or something?
Anyone have this experience or know what the issue is? I took it apart and reinstalled it, still persists.

GuestJune 13, 2021 at 1:12 amFor a semi auto selector, the detents should be cut deeply so it can’t be over-rotated. There should be a wall at the end of travel.
[See here](https://photos.app.goo.gl/2bFsYzy9JA3kZMA18), even the high spot for the detent is well below the outer diameter of the selector.
On a standard full auto selector, the detents aren’t cut that deep because the selector stops on the outside of the receiver stop rotation.
