I’ve had a really hard time to decipher was gun to buy next. I really want a single action, I have narrowed it down to the Ruger Vaquero and the Uberti El Patron.

Is the Uberti still a good gun, and would it last me thousands of rounds like a Ruger? Also, if I do decide for a Ruger, how do I get a hardened case steel one? Thank you.

The Ubertis are a faithful copy and the Rugers are somewhat modernized. The Rugers can fire higher pressure loads and have a transfer bar safety so you can actually load all six chambers. They’re also generally finished to a higher quality level. I don’t know if they make a case hardened model.
The Ubertis are still solid SAAs, though.

Yes uberti is a solid cowboy gun. The ruger though is a lot nicer and you will notice the difference

Rugers have a reputation for being tanks, can’t go wrong with a Ruger.
