I still use Eotech’s and Aimpoint’s but the Holosun sights definitely are the best for me.

You have to try a bunch out. Everyone’s astigmatism is different. Some dots will be better than others. Just find one that’s consistent and use it.

If you wanna stick with an rds, sign Romeo 5 ain’t bad with my astigmatism, although of course everyone’s is a little different. Mine is fairly bad though.

Prism scope eliminates the issue entirely. I have a couple primary arms glx 2x optics and they’re absolutely crystal clear. Any lpvo should work since they’re etched as well but I’ve never personally tried one.

Depending how bad it is for you, I suggest Eotech, having the ring makes it better to center the dot with the marks on the ring.

You need to determine just how bad your astigmatism really is and if corrective lenses can alleviate it. Some people blow their astigmatism completly out of the water and think because they cannot see a perfect crisp dot, that their is no hope. Not the case. Your astigmatism might not be curable with corrective lenses but the effects could be reduced. Fact if the matter is Astigmatism is common but your astigmatism probably isnt as bad as you think it is

I personally have bad astigmatism in my right eye (dominant eye), I went to my optometrist and told him about it and he esentially said corrective lenses can only do so much. Still to this day when I look through a red dot, it isnt completly crisp, I do get a fair amount of starbursting. but it doesnt need to be crisp. I can zero them, I can adequately shoot decent groups… red dots are good to go. Prism options are nice, anyone who watches the YouTube and can regurgitate information will let you know this. I really like prism scopes. They are very clear but are heavy and have an eyebox.

I would say, explore options to correct your vision, it will pay off. After you do, I can almost guarantee you that red dots will at least be usable unless your eyes really are top teir astigmatism fucked.

Vortex Spitfire is a prism scope/etched reticle. Fairly inexpensive as well. I have one and it’s not bad. They make it in 1x and 3x

I have astigmatism as well, but what I realize is that when im aiming outside, with alot of light source, the extra light around me cleans up a lot of that flaring that happens to the dot. Same when im inside and shine my weapon light when aiming down the reddot inside. See if that helps you

Start shooting with both eyes open. Pick up whatever optic you want but aimpoint can’t go wrong

I have this problem when indoors, but when outside the scratchy red spider goes away.
