Validating or boosting politicians like Greene solely because they’re pro-2A is exactly how the gun community loses ground. I’ve seen time and time again (especially on this sub) folks defending the Jewish-Space-Laser-Karen because “well she’s pro 2A.” Would we vote for an outspoken KKK member if they were also in support of defending gun rights? No, because their OTHER beliefs completely invalidate them as an intelligent individual capable of holding public office.

9/11 conspiracies, COVID conspiracies, and now evolution denial are some examples of stances Greene’s taken, all of which are beyond idiotic. Gun grabbers *love* being able to align the gun community with folks like Greene because it makes us look just as bad. “Hey this batsh*t crazy congresswoman also supports gun rights, this is proof that gun activists are just as crazy.”

We have got to stop letting these individuals speak for us, it does nothing but invalidate our argument that gun ownership is important regardless of the politics. If you find yourself voting for someone based on a singular issue, maybe stop and think about how effective an individual can be if they aren’t even taken seriously by their colleagues.

You do know we have two openly proud antisemites in congress right…?

    > Would we vote for an outspoken KKK member if they were also in support of defending gun rights?

Who is “we” exactly? Because you sure aren’t talking like one of “us.” Also hyperbole doesn’t make you sound smart, it shows that you need to make up extremes to try and validate your point.

    > , because their OTHER beliefs completely invalidate them as an intelligent individual capable of holding public office.

Dude have you seen who’s in the White House? Have you heard AOC talk? Do you think any politician is acually smart?

And the left has way more heinous bull shit that they peddle. What’s your point? Almost every Democrat if not all support the murder of the unborn and they’re having no problem getting elected.

    > We have got to stop letting these individuals speak for us, it does nothing but invalidate our argument that gun ownership is important regardless of the politics.

Are you going to run for office then? Since apparently you speak for all gun owners now.

It’s a free country, bro. People you think are “bat shit crazy” have a right to differ in opinion than you and the main stream media. Not sure why you took the route of comparing her to a kkk member but that’s typical leftist tactics.

Free country means we can question everything. You should be more tolerant. You’ve been poisoned by society group think.

Okay. What’s the legislative effect of any of this?

What anti-evolution law is Greene proposing?

    >Gun grabbers love being able to align the gun community with folks like Greene because it makes us look just as bad. “Hey this batsh*t crazy congresswoman also supports gun rights, this is proof that gun activists are just as crazy.”

They don’t need actual nutjobs to run with that narrative, they’ll just make shit up.

The number of liberals who believe the NRA funneled billions of dollars of Russian money into American elections all because one Russian gave the organization $2500 is insane, because that’s the lie they’ve created, and the lie they’re willing to believe.

If Greene wasn’t around, they’d just lie about someone who was. You’re never going to win by attacking from the principled high road.

“I support her on gun rights” is a perfectly reasonable response. The idea that we are beholden to every belief held by a representative is asinine.

“Hitler was a vegetarian and loved dogs” in no way means I support Hitler.. even know I am a vegetarian and like dogs..

This whole thread is people telling Op others can think what they want only to then tell OP to shut up and insult him. Really mature.
