    For hunting, MOA. Anything else, probably mils.

    Use what you are comfortable with, both work just fine. If you are starting it is generally thought that MILs are easier. If you polled PRS shooters the majority are shooting MIL.

    MOA, I’m dumb but even I can figure out 1 inch at 100 yards. Screw the metric system.

    They are almost the same thing.

    Mead is a decimal based system, making scalable quantities easier in your head if you are doing the raw math.

    MOS is fractional, like inches.

    The click value is slightly smaller with MOA, so I choose that.

    The difference between the two that 1 click makes over 1000 yards is roughly an inch. That’s basically nothing, but as any man would say, an inch is an inch!

    I chose MOA for hunting because it’s quicker math for me when ranging targets. 1/4 MOA is also a slightly more fine adjustment than 1/10 MIL. If I were a PRS or military precision shooter (I had an ACOG with BDC reticle in the USMC so neither applied really) then it’s way more common to use MIL. Either will get you there, I would suggest to pick one and master it before trying the other.

    .1mil = .36” @ 100yds

    .25 MOA = .26” @ 100yds

    I was taught MOA and I’m worried if I learn something new I’ll get the two confused.
