Hi all. Looking to build my first long range rifle. I’ve had a fair amount of experience with long guns mostly hunting .30-30, .30-06 and .308. I’ve also had some experience building my own AR-9 and AR-15. I’m looking to build something for target out to 1500 yards but have no idea where to start. Would like something to get my feet wet and then upgrade from there. Any help, ideas and resources would be greatly appreciated. TIA

I would look at Masterpiece Arms (MPA). They make some very nice stuff at different price levels. You’re basically getting a custom gun from their factory. Also, I know atleast some of them come with 3/8″ accuracy guarantee.

I’ve also owned a seekins havak bravo in 6.5 prc. Great gun, extremely accurate. Spent a lot of time with that gun at 1500 yards to 1 mile. Its a great value at $1850 (last I checked)

    What’s your budget?

Do you have any frame of reference/preference for a chassis vs stock?
