Nfa items with an uncertain residence

I’m 21 and able to buy nfa items, but I’m a college student and not moved out of my parent’s house yet. I live in another city in my state in a house they also own for about 9 months of the year during the semester. If I wanted to convert my scorpion to an sbr or buy a suppressor, would it bite me in the a$$ because of my transient lifestyle?
Please no comments about “saving money” etc. I’ve heard it a billion times. I’m a solid penny pincher and I like the taste of ramen. 😉
