Meet Boo Boo, my Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan snubby in 44 Magnum.
How fun is this gun to shoot!Â
I don’t know what Ruger did, but perceived recoil is minimal with full power magnum loads and 44 Specials feel like a 38.
The blast wave blows all the loose stuff in front of you off the floor and same happens around target upon impact.
Fireballs are an added bonus.
Accuracy is about what you would expect with a 2.5″ barrel.
And as you likely surmised, I will not be using this gun to make holes in bears, as I really like bears.
Unless one chooses to really dislike me.
