not reallya direct impact but being splashed by cluster munition is not fun , probably the veichle and ammo are not operational anymore .

and now that they are zeroed in I doubt those systems would survive any longer even if they are operational after the first strike.

Why are they setting up in open fields??

    edit:

whatched it again on telegram with better definition and zooming in , it seems there are 3 M109 on a line and you can see people moving so I guees they are manned , the leftmost one got a direct hit and cooks off while you see some movement near the rightmost one , probably soldier taking cover inside it.

    going frame by frame :

So my guees is one destroyed and 2 damaged but not seriously , there is a white pickup too that got pepoered with shrapnel.

One’s burning(or rather something is burning) but obviously they cut it short so we don’t se what exactly happened. hopefully it’s just the munition on the ground.

    Edit:

Or maybe that’s just spent casings on the ground

Stayed too long and if they are in Grad range they are too close. Lessons will be learned.

Welp that sucks. Better send them some older m109s as replacements.

Biggest difference between Ua and Ru combat footage, Ua actually shows aftermath, not just some unconfirmable thing on fire.

Too bad, but this is war, things get destroyed. Just one more reason to send even more equipment to Ukraine.

Doesn’t look like artillery? Maybe rockets? Seems they got one out of three, although if you look close, it seems the fire is behind the vehicle, which could also be the ammunition storage?

This morning The Norwegian ministry of defense confirmed that they’ve sent 20 M109 A3 to Ukraine.
Due to the development of the war it seems necessary to send “even heavier equipment and weapon systems”, they said.

Damn that’s a whole battery knocked out. Looks like one piece destroyed and other two probably have at least some damage. Not to mention the highly valuable trained crew.

Hope those pieces killed more than a few Russians before being taken out.
