    5.56 has slightly thicker brass and is made for slightly higher psi

    Depends on for what. 5.56 is a little hotter and shoots a little faster. 223 is cheaper and most hunting rounds are 223

    The difference is almost negligible unless your rifle is chambered in .223, then you don’t want to be using 5.56.

    As long as it’s not an old gun….whatever you can find. If it’s old, then only .223.

    I just buy whatever I can find for a good price. If I can get something higher than 55G I’ll take it.

    I always use 223 at the range because it’s cheaper. Home defense is 556 green tip or hallow point

    I hate that .223 ammo is more common than 5.56
