Daniel Defense is still producing and selling Mk18 for $1,980. You just have to be patient and catching the right time to order. Personally I think that lower isn’t worth $700. Buy a Brownell Mk18, DD BCG, Raptor CH, Muzzle Device is about $1,200 to $1,300. Buy a good lower for $400. That leave you $300 for a good trigger upgrade or KAC sights pair.

That velocity loss from 12.5″ down to 10.3″ is just too much for me to countenance. 5.56 is practically just .22LR if you don’t give it velocity.
