I know if might be a simple question but i am fairly new to the shotgun scene. I was wondering what size shells would i be able to use in a 12 side by side. Should i only use 2 3/4″ or could i go to something like 3″ or 3 1/2″.

Go based on whatever the gun says. Typically 3.5” shells are for shotguns rated for it, while most everything will shoot 3”
