How the fuck do you get it off? Recently got a MK4 in the DDC, threw on some furniture spray painted black that I thought was dry and it left some black paint all along the whole top rail. No problem I thought and tried some nail polish remover, no luck. So I tried citristrip which I just used to get all the spray paint off my reciever with no issue, but it will not come off my Geissele rail.

I’m assuming paint stripper would be too strong? Maybe it’s the DDC anodizing causing the hang up? The paint is nothing I’m really concerned about it’s just more of annoyance now since I can’t get it off.

Acetone. Lacquer thinner if that is too strong. Xylene may work also

I use brake cleaner and it works just fine. I make sure to oil the rail after it’s done. Good luck getting it ALL off, I shoot with my rail resting on logs/branches a lot and have pretty permanently stained it with tree goop

Just try straight acetone, soak it.
