Hey guys,
I’m planning on selling a rifle on gun broker. I have an account and figured out how much it’s going for and know how to set up an auction. I also know that I’ll need to ship it between FFLs (obviously).
I’ve never had a firearm shipped before. Will they give me a tracking number I can send to the buyer? I’m assuming it’s normal to pay a fee in addition to however much shipping costs. Is it normal to include this fee in the price of the gun?
I’ve also never sold a gun online before (I live in a different state as a student than my official residency so private sales are a no go). What forms of payment would you accept? I’m thinking cashier’s check or money order. I think I would also accept a personal check with a week long waiting period to make sure it clears. I would not accept cash as it seems risky if it gets lost (and could lead to accusations of theft). This sound good? Anyone use a peer to peer platform like venmo or paypal (I know firearms are prohibited by those two in particular)?
Thanks for any help/advice!
