Have you looked at a Glock 43X? Same controls you’re used to already, in a slim carry package. Holds 10+1, or 15+1 with the Shield mags and steel mag release. Lots of holster choices and aftermarket parts, just like every other Glock.

HiPoint Yeet Cannon. Around $350 and no one will take you seriously until you start blastin. The extra $100 you save can get you about 15 rounds of 9mm which is perfect because they are made to be tossed after use anyway. It’s basically the 80s disposable camera of the gun world.

Or you could probably find a Shield at a pawn store for less than $500. But everyone has one and they are boring.

My most enjoyable handgun is my **FM Hi Power.** Made in Argentina by FN in Argentina. They are parkerized and a flat black finish, but it is well made accurate and it is reliable as any gun I know of. Another affordable and reliable gun is the **Taurus PT92 FSD**. It is a larger gun and is a clone of the M9 Barretta. Also well worth the money. Finally try to find a Taurus G2c series. They were engineered specifically for everyday carry.
