Should I spray paint my guns?

I should note… I’m not talking about ar15s. I’m thinking about it for a Benelli mr1, and beretta 1301. I’m just bored… staying in California for a while so I can’t buy any guns. Can’t shop because there are no gun stores… I want to paint them… I just like spray painted rifles. What are your opinions? I know it’ll be detrimental to resale. Should I not paint? Paint just the plastic furniture? Or also receivers and barrels? Do the 1301 but not the mr1?
