GuestSeptember 20, 2022 at 1:02 pmNo it isn’t, just get some talon grips

GuestSeptember 20, 2022 at 1:02 pmI love the stock gen 5 grip pattern, even with my hands wet. Don’t know why people feel the need to use tape. Maybe it is just one of those things I gotta try before deciding.

GuestSeptember 20, 2022 at 1:02 pmGot a 19 and 43x both stippled, and 45 with just goon tape.
Honestly, both work great, maybe it can be just a decision of aesthetics. Will say though, a trigger undercut I’d recommend minimum over a stipple job.

GuestSeptember 20, 2022 at 1:02 pmI think some of the stiple jobs I have seen look cool but truth is my Gen5 19 locks into my hand wet or dry just fine the way it is.

GuestSeptember 20, 2022 at 1:02 pmI feel it’s worth it, definitely gives you a better grip. There’s a lot of good options out there for Glock work. But Gen 5 also has a nice feel to it already.

GuestSeptember 20, 2022 at 1:02 pmStippling is only worth it on the subcompacts

GuestSeptember 20, 2022 at 1:02 pmNo. Tape is just as effective and isn’t permanent

GuestSeptember 20, 2022 at 1:02 pmYes it is worth it. I’ve had tape, talon grips, etc. Stippling is worth it. I wouldn’t pay more than $100 for it though. I learned how to do it myself so it doesn’t cost me anything but time. I can’t go back to tape anymore. It’s worth it if done right and for practical purposes, not looks. However, it does lower resell value so make sure you’re willing to keep it for the long haul. Question for all of you saying no; have you ever had your Glock stippled? Seriously, to say it’s not worth it over tape is just delusional.

GuestSeptember 20, 2022 at 1:02 pmWhat I like about my stippled Glocks is the stippling runs really high into the grip and all the way up the backstrap. Depending on your grip this can make a big difference on how flat you can keep the gun because of the extra contact and friction you can make

GuestSeptember 20, 2022 at 1:02 pmStock stippling works perfectly fine for me. I shoot about 200-300 each time I go to the range and never have it slip really. I guess if you tend to have sweaty hands it might be worth it.

GuestSeptember 20, 2022 at 1:02 pmMine was. Cuts were so deep it made parts of my hand raw for weeks. Guy who stippled it called it ‘police stipple’ cause it was their favorite. Grips well when wet.

GuestSeptember 20, 2022 at 1:02 pmPersonal preference, I do love my stippled 43x though. Planning on having my 19 matched to it.
