I just got a Sig P365 and looks like Tier 1 Concealed is the best option I have for a light compatible appendix holster. However, the only light it accepts is a Streamlight TLR6. Does anyone have any experience with this light? I know it’s size dwarfs it’s capabilities compared to the other popular lights, but does it get the job done?

So it’s huge and it doesn’t do much?

I’d look around for something that’ll fit the tlr7 sub instead. You get literally 5x as much light from it. Make a post here or on the SIG sub asking for advice on holsters

I’ve heard good things about the new Surefire XSC. Not sure if anyone is making holsters yet tho.

Depends on the area you are in.

In a dark rural area, the 100 lumen light on my Ruger EC9s does a pretty good job out to about 50-75 feet.

It also does a good job around my house.

I even tried it out at a dark bush about 30 feet away under a streetlight. It lit up the shadows in bush enough to identify a person if they had been in the shadows, but it was weak and didn’t go past the front of the bush. My 300 lumen handheld totally lit up the bush and you could see into the darkness beyond the bush.

I find the output unacceptable on the TLR-6, it’s a waste of money. I’d get a quality handheld and practice using that with the gun instead.

Have you looked at the Streamlight TLR-7 Sub?

Only a few have hit the market but that should change in the next month. I expect Holster makers will offer holsters for this combo.
