  • StrikerIce or Eskimo???

Posted by nick on June 22, 2022 at 7:17 pm

I’m looking to buy a pair of bibs, and am between a StrikerIce bib and an Eskimo bib. I was wondering if anyone has experience with both/either and can give me some feedback!?

I’ve had Striker Predator bibs for a couple of years. I love them. Durable, waterproof, and comfortable.

    Edit u/Plane_Adhesiveness_6:
Their customer service is amazing as well. I contacted them about an issue with the zipper on my bibs (out of warranty) and they gave me an RMA number and had me ship them back in for repair. I only paid shipping to them and I had the bibs back in less than a week!

To all interested, I made a decision.

I found the StrikerIce Apex bib for a great price on Amazon. Absolutely stoked for winter already!

I would LOVE to hear from anyone that has gone in the drink with float suit on as well.

I have the Striker Climate bibs. Very pleased. Most of the time I remove the liner because it gets too hot. I bought a second set of hand towels to snap on when they get dirty. I’ve used them for 3 seasons and have not encountered any quality issues regarding busted seams, zippers, etc.

Without a doubt striker ice. Can’t even compare the quality of the two. Not even in the same league

I had this same dilemma last year and found a terrific mid-season sale on the Eskimo Keeper bibs and coat so I went for it. VERY impressed so far! Super comfortable and plenty warm.
Northeast Minnesota. Went out in as cold as -10°F air temp with no issue this Feb.

I have Ice Armor and I like them a lot but I got my kids Eskimo bibs and they are extremely nice as well.

Those Striker bibs with the button on towel pieces look really enticing. Always a good idea to have a towel for wiping hands on the ice.

But I’m more of a budget guy, so I went with Ice Runner bibs and they get the job done just fine.

Carhartt bibs all the way. That said I have no experience with Striker but I will say that Eskimo is a fantastic company. I have had nothing but good experiences with both their gear and customer service.

I have Striker bibs and absolutely love them. Super warm, without being super puffy/thick so you can still get around easily in them.

I have a Striker Hardwater suit. My buddy has the Eskimo suit. We’ve both fished in -20 with no issues.
