Shot a deer last fall with my bow. Going to tie a *deer hair caddis and go for some trout. Would feel like my greatest accomplishment as an outdoorsman.

Based on the fact that your trout photo was taken in a net in the water in true good catch and release form, I assume that elk was released after you snipped some of its fur?

Almost… The final step would be to use the trout for fertilizer like the Original Peoples to grow maize which you would then use to bait the elk within the range of your rifle.
