Took my DIY iPilot Sportsman 106MK on the water for the first time today, and it worked great!
[Last week I posted about the DIY iPilot/AutoPilot project](https://www.reddit.com/r/kayakfishing/comments/w72ua0/i_built_an_ipilotautopilot_motor_console_for_my/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) I recently completed for my Old Town Sportsman 106 Powered By Minn Kota.
Today I was finally able to take it out for its first water trial, and I’m happy to say it worked it even better than I expected. No major issues, both the stock motor controller and the new iPilot controller worked extremely well, and I was able to switch between the two systems as expected. There was a light breeze blowing as i was testing SpotLock and Cruise Control, and I can already see this setup is going to be a game changer for me. I can’t wait to take it out for a full day of fishing!

awesome, man! looks great. From the brief look at it, looks like it functions as well as an autopilot. One of the best kayak mods I’ve seen.
