First year hunter looking for advice on hunting turkeys in the rain. Took my buddy out on opening day and called in his first turkey and tangoed with a tom after but he found an actual hen and left me empty handed. Hoping to get my first spring turkey before I go to Florida on Thursday and it’s gonna rain everyday this week. So my question is what’s the best method for when it’s raining? Hunt a field instead of open woods? Use a blind and decoy or rain gear and a call? Just looking for advice from someone more experienced than myself!
Region is Western Pennsylvania if that makes any difference, Beaver County. Thanks in advance!
