It was most likely previously shot out of an AR which will make those indentations from the inside of the feed ramps/barrel lugs as the case is extracted. Though if you see light through it, it’s not safe. If you don’t see light through it, you’re good to go.

GuestMay 17, 2021 at 9:30 pmYou can get dents from resizing the brass, often due to excessive lube, but not always. It can be quite common when reforming brass to another caliber, too. I don’t know if it’s just a flaw in the brass characteristic or if it’s a procedural fluke.
