I attempted to purchase a firearm from Gunzonedeals.com as a gift for my son who is going to be deployed overseas in the next week & a half. He really wanted a military type pistol but with the current environment of everything everywhere being out of stock especially in my local area I tried to use gzd.com to get my son what he wanted. After placing my order I immediately received an email stating that gzd couldn’t ship it out for 2-3 weeks bcuz of covid…..so, I immediately canceled the order by replying to the covid email stating my request to have gzd cancel the order & I also canceled it by sending in the same email to them through there help desk. This is all within 8 hrs of purchasing the firearm. No response. Their own email states it will take 48hrs for them to respond to any emails, so I wait two days & email them the cancelation again putting in bold letters PLEASE CANCEL THE PISTOL! GZD then proceeds to ignore my requests to cancel the order and ships the pistol out anyway three days later claiming that it’s too late for them to cancel the order. I reply, telling them I will not accept the pistol from my ffl & then they reply telling me that if I don’t accept the pistol they’re going to charge me a 25% ($180) cancelation fee! Keep in mind, I sent these people MULTIPLE emails telling them to cancel the order. GZD expects customers to pay them for something they’ve NEVER HELD, NEVER SEEN, NEVER TAKEN POSSESSION OF inAny way whatsoever! So, in short this company wants to try to strong arm their would be customers who cancel their orders or change their minds by leveraging 25% FEES on average Joe’s like me & you. I should not have to pay bcuz of their own inability to read cancelation emails from customers. I believe they have this practice on purpose so as to make sure that they will STILL get some amount of money out of a “no sale”, whether a person cancels their order or not. Never have I dealt with a company who was more rude & idiotic than this one. BUYERS BEWARE! Most of us gun people are good folks but some of these online companies are just as crooked as a snake. This is just my experience but from some of the former gzd customers I’ve talked to, it’s not an uncommon occurrence. I got one will NEVER spend another dime with gzd & if you want to avoid issues like mine, I’d recommend you guys do the same.

“Due to the high demand for firearms & accessories as a result of the current environment, there may be shipping delays.”
This banner is on the top of their front page, I get that they’re shady but they did warn you. Not trying to be cruel but this is a good reason why you don’t deal with little bullshit online retailers. They look like a drop shipping site, I’m guessing they didn’t want to get stuck with your gun because you changed your mind.

After perusing that wall of text, it looks like they gave you an estimated lead time of 2-3 weeks, then shipped your exact requested item after 3 days. What exactly is your complaint?
TheConsoleGeekGuestJune 11, 2021 at 3:27 pm
Their site clearly states there’ll be a delay in shipping (which has been the norm for over a year for everyone). They then ship it a couple days after the order was placed, exactly as they stated and you’re pissed because they did exactly as their site says and you could clearly see before you ever placed the order?
You state that they say it takes 48 hours to respond to emails, emails that you wrote in all capital letters, and are pissed about it. They have a phone number on their site, if this was so important why would you write immature meals when a simple phone call would have gotten you through to someone?
And then you complain about the return fee, again, this is posted on their site. You can’t act like it’s a surprise when they didn’t hide it. It’s a lot of work to sell a firearm and then take it back in. It costs them money and time so yeah, there’s going to be a fee when someone returns a firearm because they’re a whiney, immature child.
Based on your rambling, all your caps lock, and grammar, you are in fact, the rude one.

Sucks for you. However, their FAQ clearly states there is a 25% charge for cancellations. It also states that they will typically take 5-7 business days to ship, which would have been cutting it close. And the top banner says to expect delays.
I think this one is on you. A bigger company that has the staff and can absorb the costs probably would have worked with you on this, but this doesn’t feel like a scam to me.
Now the other post with a used item marketed as new, is a different story and enough reason for me to never shop at that site.

Fuck what a wall o’ text. I’ll take your word for it judging by all the caps and exclamation points. Just the name for starters sounds like a scam. Not hard to pick these out with a little common sense.

I purchased a lower and a complete upper from them a few days apart and both items were clearly used/returns when they arrived. They told me to deal with the manufacturer lol. Awful experience

r/gundealsFU is best for this

Regardless of the delay that they notified everyone about, their cancelation policy is pretty clear. This is not a problem with the site it is a problem with you not checking first.
This is taken directly from their policy.
**”What happens if I need to cancel my order?**
**We do allow cancelations however, a 25% cancellation charge will be applied so we encourage customers to be sure they want their items before they place an order**
**Class III NFA Items such as silencers and SBR’s cannot be canceled once the order is placed as paperwork must be submitted with the ATF for every item.”**

If you haven’t already I’d start a credit card dispute and send them the proof of emails
42AngryPandasGuestJune 11, 2021 at 3:27 pm
I’m so confused, you wanted to cancel because it might take several weeks and then the order was processed within a few days.
Did you even bother to look to see what shipping time would be before ordering?
anywhereatGuestJune 11, 2021 at 3:27 pm
Thanks for the warning, and the caps. Here’s a warning. Nobody delivers anything in a week in a half, not for at least a year.
RGavialGuestJune 11, 2021 at 3:27 pm
I tried to cancel an order with them once about 3 years ago (before they changed their name) and I had a similar issue. I think I called them 1 or 2 hours after placing the order. I even thought they’d waive it since I actually wanted something *substantially more expensive*, but oh well. Lesson learned.
I’ve bought a few things since, but they haven’t had any decent deals in a loooong time. I finally unsubscribed when they were selling these “Sheeple” T-Shirts making fun of people wearing masks last year. If there’s anything that makes me drop support (beyond shitty policies), it’s right-wing meme shit.

I’m just surprised it wasn’t a straight up scam LoL
