Full length barrel in shorter overall gun I think is one pro

Is pretty much the only pro. P90 specific pro is the standard 50 round capacity.

Full length barrel is the main pro. Everything else is slightly less efficient than a standard AR15

I don’t own any bullpups but a possible con I’ve read about could be a mushy trigger pull

Yeah that’s the pro. The cons are they cost more, the ergonomics are worse or at least take retraining if you’re accustomed to a traditional rifle layout and they ain’t cheap.

Bullpups also shift the center of gravity towards the rear by several inches. It’s an interesting feel; in gun shops I liked the balance, but I’ve not had the chance to try it on the range.

Upsides: longer barrel for shorter overall length. Generally a better center of balance.

Downsides: weight, different manual of arms (though I wouldn’t necessarily say *worse*, and modern bullpups try to ape the AR15’s controls), worse trigger (usually) due to linkages, cost.

Also some bullpup designs try to do funny shit with their ejection system in an effort to be more ambidextrous-accommodating and this can lead to extraction/ejection issues.

The only universal pro of a bullpup is that they offer the same or greater barrel length in a smaller or similar overall length compared to traditional rifles. On the flip-side the only overall con of a bullpup is that there are far fewer adjustment options for the length of pull (distance between the trigger and the end of the stock).

Now there are many more things that are “common,” but this depends on the specific gun and potentially accessories (and in some cases what’s it’s being compared to). For example most bullpups you can’t shoot left-handed, but the PS90 you mentioned is one of a few exceptions since it’s a downward ejecting bullpup. Of course the downside with its ejection is you can end up with hot brass in your boots/shoes, so… Alternatively bullpups tend to have mushy triggers, but some don’t and others have aftermarket parts available to alleviate this, while some “standard/normal” rifles have mushy triggers as well. So the advantage or disadvantage can only be considered when comparing specific examples in this case.
